Help with Radial Arm Polisher

I need to know how you guys are attaching your diamond plates to your drive plates on a radial arm polisher. I spoke with the salesman I bought my radial arm polisher from and (http://maplered.com) he said to glue my diamond discs to the plates. This seems a little odd Here is a pic of my plate, I need answers quick on this one.
